- Sealed and full bags mailed by consumers for free or deposited in recycling bins.
Sorting
- Manual dismantling of devices: batteries, plastics, wiring.
- Separation of contents from emptied vape devices.
- Recycling of used bags: emptied, washed, and recycled.
Repurposing
- Lithium batteries: shredded into metal and plastic components.
- Circuit boards: separated into parts, precious metals extracted.
- Wiring: shredded, copper and plastic coatings separated - materials sold as commodities.
- Energy: captured from incineration of pods.
