VEEV devices and pods you no longer use
If you have VEEV devices or pods that you no longer use, you can drop them off at IQOS stores and tobacconists equipped with such waste collection containers to promote and facilitate their recovery.
Find the store closest to you participating in the initiative
You can drop off VEEV devices and pods that you no longer use at the point of sale by contacting the sales staff to place them in the appropriate collection containers.

How is waste from VEEV devices and pods delivered to stores equipped with collection bins handled?

VEEV devices are collected through the dedicated Philip Morris stream, as part of the project REC - Recycling for Circular Economy - which has an average recovery target of over 80% of the materials of which these devices are composed.

Waste from Philip Morris devices is transported to a specialised facility

Device waste is treated to recover reusable materials, such as plastics and metals, which are then recycled by specialised facilities

The objective is to recover on average more than 80% of the materials of which device waste is composed
VEEV Pods
Waste from VEEV pods is collected as part of the RECYCLE-CIG stream, along with waste from other e-cigarettes.
It is not possible to include VEEV pods in the dedicated Philip Morris flow with the REC project, as at present no industrial solutions have been identified that allow us to have a recovery target on average of more than 80% of the materials they are made of.

The waste collected are transported to plants authorised for the treatment of Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment
