What is covered by the VEEV ONE base warranty?

 

Philip Morris International, identified under the heading "Customer Service," will, in its sole discretion (but without prejudice to your statutory rights), repair or replace any component of the product that has defects in materials or workmanship covered by a voluntary warranty claim, provided that the product has been used in accordance with the accompanying VEEV ONE Instructions for Use. If repair is not possible, the device will be replaced with a product with equal functionality. To the extent permitted by local law, the color or model of the substitute will depend on the availability of the product. The provisions of this warranty apply only in the country of purchase of the product.

 

What does the basic warranty not cover?

 

The warranty conditions do not cover:

a) damage resulting from normal wear and tear; 

b) surface damage (such as scratches, dents, cracked plastic, etc.);

c) damage caused by improper use, voltage surge, improper handling, contact with liquid or fire; 

d) malfunction caused by use with an incompatible product;

e) damage or malfunction caused by an attempt to create, modify or repair by a user or by a service provider not authorized by the manufacturer;

f) damage or malfunction caused by use not as described in the accompanying instructions for use of the VEEV ONE;

g) a normal reduction in battery performance, unless the battery has failed due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

 

What does the Extended Warranty cover?

 

The extended warranty covers mechanical damage that may occur during the use of the VEEV ONE and prevents the use of the device.
 

 

What does the extended warranty not cover?

 

The extended warranty does not cover:

a) intentional mechanical damage;

b) cosmetic damage, such as dents or scratches, which does not affect the performance of the product;

c) loss of the product (including due to theft);

d) products which cannot be identified by the device number because it is illegible or deleted;

e) damage caused outside the extended warranty period.

 

Consumer rights under the law

 

The entrepreneur is liable under the Act on consumer rights towards the buyer if the goods sold are not in conformity with the sales contract. If the goods are not in conformity with the contract, the buyer may submit a complaint to the entrepreneur and may demand its repair or replacement and - under the conditions set out in the Act on consumer rights, may submit a statement on price reduction or withdrawal from the contract. The trader shall be liable for any lack of conformity of the goods existing at the time of delivery and revealed within two years of that date, unless the expiry date of the goods is longer as determined by the trader, his legal predecessors or persons acting on their behalf. The Buyer may exercise rights for non-conformity of the goods with the contract regardless of the rights resulting from the warranty. The exercise of rights under the guarantee does not affect the liability of the entrepreneur in the event of non-conformity of the goods with the contract. However if the Buyer exercises the rights under the guarantee, the period for exercising the rights runs  due to non-conformity of the goods with the contract is suspended on the date of notification to the entrepreneur about the non-conformity of the goods with the contract. This period shall run further from the date of refusal by the guarantor to perform the obligations arising from the guarantee or the ineffective expiry of the time for their performance.
