Good Conversion Practices for PMI’s Smoke-free Products
PMI offers a variety of quality, scientifically substantiated smoke-free products that are much better choices than continued smoking. Our vision is that our smoke-free products will one day replace cigarettes.
- Cigarette smoking causes serious diseases and is addictive. Without question, the best decision any smoker can make is to quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
- Minors should not use tobacco or nicotine in any form.
- PMI’s smoke-free products are for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke or use other nicotine products.
- We do not offer PMI’s smoke-free products to people who have never used tobacco or nicotine products or who have quit using tobacco and nicotine products. Our smoke-free products are not alternatives to quitting and are not designed as cessation aids.
- PMI’s smoke-free products are not risk-free and contain nicotine, which is addictive. Switching to a smoke-free product is, however, a better choice than continuing to smoke.
- We support our adult smoke-free product users in their journey to full conversion through education and guidance.
- For consumers to experience the benefits of smoke-free products, they must switch completely and abandon smoking permanently.
- We inform consumers of all relevant safety information about our smoke-free products.
Safety Warnings & Instructions
Nicotine
- VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE pods contains nicotine, which is addictive.
- VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE are not risk-free. The best way to reduce nicotine-related health risks is to quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
- Some users may experience side effects including abdominal pain, cough, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, malaise, nasal stuffiness, nausea, mouth irritation, throat irritation, vomiting.
- Nicotine-containing products should not be used by people who have or are at risk of heart disease, are diabetic, are epileptic or are experiencing seizures.
- Nicotine-containing products should not be used during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or think you may be pregnant you should quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
- Stopping smoking or switching to VEEV NOW, VEEV ONE or other nicotine-containing products may require the adjustment of the dosing of certain medicines (e.g., theophylline, clozapine, ropinirole).
- If you have questions about whether you should use VEEV NOW or VEEV ONE given an existing health condition, you should consult a healthcare professional.
Use of VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE
- Do not use VEEV NOW and VEEN ONE where electronic device use is prohibited or flammable materials, liquids, and gases are present.
- Do not charge VEEV ONE or use VEEV NOW or VEEV ONE if damaged, tampered with, broken or if its battery appears to be leaking. Do not use these products if they have been exposed to excessive cold, heat, or moisture.
- Only charge VEEV ONE indoors using a manufacturer-supplied Charging Cable and certified AC Power Adaptor. Do not use accessories not approved by the manufacturer. VEEV ONE must only be charged using Safety Extra Low Voltage with a 5V; 2A AC Power Adaptor.
- Do not touch VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE if it overheats, spark, fume, ignites, or burn. Use caution to shut off or disconnect the power supply if applicable and possible.
- VEEV NOW, VEEV ONE, VEEV ONE AC Power Adaptor and Charging Cable should not be exposed to any liquid. Do not touch them if they become wet or have been immersed in any liquid.
- Handle with care. Do not drop VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE or subject it to strong shock.
- Do not charge VEEV ONE, store or use VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE in places with high temperatures (such as inside a car in summer, or near heat sources such as radiators, stovetops, fires, etc.).
- Do not clean VEEV NOW or VEEV ONE devices with any cleaning agent. Do not clean the devices while on.
- Clean the VEEV ONE USB charging port periodically to avoid an accumulation of foreign matters (such as dust particles) and inspect the USB port for foreign materials before using the USB connector.
- Never dispose of VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE with other household waste, as it may enter into contact with water and/or other liquids.
- VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE contain no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, modify, service, disassemble or repair any component or replace any components or batteries.
- Only operate the VEEV NOW and VEEV ONE in temperatures between >0°C/<40°C.
Use of VEEV ONE pods
- Only use VEEV ONE with VEEV ONE pods specifically designed for VEEV ONE. Never use VEEV ONE with other pods. Doing so may cause injury.
- Do not modify or attempt to refill VEEV ONE pods in any way or add any substance to VEEV ONE pods. Doing so may cause injury.
